Dogs for Defense (DFD) is a non-profit organization that was formed out of concern for the safety and welfare of Israel's population. DFD breeds or purchases bomb-sniffing dogs in Israel to help Israel's civil and military better combat the terrorism of suicide bombers and others who attack her.    Explosive detection dogs save lives of soldiers and civilians, and their use has long been endorsed by The Israeli Ministry of Public Security, Israeli Police and the IDF (Israel Defense Forces).
